Contrastive parallelism should scarcely exist in technical writing, regardless of whether it’s AI generated. FROM: energy123 Hacker News Source This is often what irks me the most about AI slop writing: the contrastive parallelism is often done through an incongruous comparison - two things that are actually orthogonal or unrelated, not parallel. The LLM constructs the sentence but upon reading it contorts my brain unpleasantly.
