Would Jubel-ieve it?

Jubel lager "cut with" fruit has, it seems, been going great guns over in the country next door. It's possibly too early to say where this sits in the specialty beer segment, since it's definitely not in the geek-coded global-Brooklyn craft end, nor is it any way presented as traditional, be that authentic or fake. Maybe it's a sector by itself. The arrival of two blatant knock-offs from Irish microbreweries working incognito backs this theory up.First out was Carlow Brewing with Bohem Lager Cut With Blood Orange. I found it on tap at Tapped. Being curious more than genuinely enthusiastic, I just had a half, to taste. It's the industry-standard 4% ABV, and has a very slight haze, suggesting it's not so non-craft as the brewery presents it. The aroma is pure fizzy pop, suggesting lemonade to me, more than Fanta or Orangina.
