The Crowd 314: Substacked

Hi Crowd! It all goes well this is the first native Crowd post from my own website that’s automagically crossposting to Substack. I’m using this wp-substack plugin in conjunction with this wpsubstack Chrome extension to make it work. As I’ve written before I’m somewhat ambivalent about Substack as a thing for any number of reasons but I’m not going to pretend that lots of people only read things there now so while I have no interest in ever posting my own stuff first to any place other than my own site, cross posting it to a place where lots of people are reading things probably makes sense. If you normally read on my site, or are subscribed via email nothing will change for you at all. That wordpress based system stays exactly as it is, and the main thing. If you prefer Substack and spend a lot of time reading there, you can add The Crowd on Substack now too. I haven’t set up any of the annoying pay gates and have no real plans to do that at this point, so it’s just an extra option…
