Today, on August 11, I told my boss I quit. I've been a social media manager and general admin for a religious learning center for 6 years now. I mostly help with administering classes while also managing the center's Whatsapp and Telegram channels mainly, and Facebook and Youtube secondary. It was rewarding work, and I learned a lot about things from handling live seminars to dealing with very difficult elderly students. What I didn't like however was that I was getting paid a very humiliating rate. For a long time I said nothing about it. In my mind I held on to this job because it was sort of like a debt. I won't go into too much detail about it, but my own mother knew the owner of the learning center.
