I was there at the right time at the right age and I enjoyed it like any other kid did, but it just doesn’t come up the way things like Pokemon and Digimon still do. Everything about it was my jam and still is, really, but I suppose that’s how the ephemeral nature of “fads” operate. Heck, fad might be a misleading way to put it because they’re still making the devices, games, and other media about them! Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom was released in 2024! At least in the US, I can’t really speak for other places myself, Tamagotchi fever was really only a thing through the latter half of the 90s. It came quickly, hit hard, and faded just as fast.
