I went out and did some storm chasing right before sunset this evening. The storms were fairly impressive; we’re under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00 PM MST tonight. There’s an impressive cell to our east moving our way; it’ll probably get to town just as I’m starting to fall asleep. For the first time since I started chasing storms in the Tucson area, I stopped by where other storm chasers were stopped, introduced myself, and chatted with them a bit. I love exchanging energy in this manner. In person connection is so much more enjoyable than online dialog. My intent this evening was to capture a bunch of footage for a round-up of the monsoon season I’ll be releasing in early September. I accomplished that mission and made some good connections along the way tonight. This is the way to start a week!
