Hey, want to know what someone besides me thinks of the forthcoming book? Corners of the Deep Dark‘s tenacious antiheroes pulled me along on a brainy puzzle journey that left me wanting to read their next adventure. That blurb comes courtesy of Victoria Janssen and is much appreciated because a) blurbs are nice and b) I did not have my shit together to ask for blurbs in a remotely timely fashion, but she gave me one anyway. (She was also a late-stage beta reader and yes, I did incorporate some changes she suggested.) You should definitely check out her work. I really enjoyed A Place of Refuge, a trio of novellas set in a plausible utopia, as seen from the perspective of three ex-guerillas unable to overthrow their own fascist government. (There’s also a prequel from their guerilla days, a single operation that also does some character work.) And if you’re in the mood for something spicy, Janssen’s bibliography is chock full of erotica and romance.
