Tuesday 11th August 2026 Readers may recall back in April I featured two bus routes reintroduced by Suffolk County Council funded from its three year £26 million Local Authority Bus Grant (LABG) – the 51 between Stowmarket and Hadleigh and 52 Hadleigh circular via Elmsett and Whatfield. I mentioned at that time there was a third new route also introduced on 13th April – the 482 between Diss and Framlingham and I’m pleased to report I managed to return to Suffolk and take a ride on it at the end of last month. It’s another route operated by Central Connect albeit through its Simmonds acquisition which is also being assimilated into the overall brand, so effectively is marketed as part of Central Connect. Indeed, while Diss Bus Station had other buses in Central Connect’s smart blue and grey livery which also promoted Transport Made Simple (the name for the overarching ‘group”) the Mercedes Sprinter for the 482 was simply showing Central Connect branding.
