I was looking for emotional support or just a sounding board. There were many times that I found this person not paying attention to what I was saying. He is distracted. Obviously, I was a bit upset, but I accept it. I soon realised that I am not being fair to this person. He too has his own problem and here I am pouring all my negative emotions on him. He has enough problems in his hand; he does not need more from me. It is a bitter lesson but a lesson that I have to learn. I have no rights to expect other parties to pay attention and offer me a solution. Everyone is fighting their own internal war. The best way to help them is not to burden them anymore. Then are we doomed to fight our own war ourselves? Yes and no. Yes. It is our private war; we can only fight it and win it ourselves. No. There is a type of friends who will never offer you any help.
