Building trust

When the Swedish movie director Karin af Klintberg, known for her documentaries, was asked about the secret to her success, she replied: "I don't measure my work in quantity, but..." Here we go again, I thought. The usual talk about quality before quantity. But it never came. Instead, she explained that it's all about time. She puts a lot of time into the work she does, and she's been doing that kind of work for a long time. She's building trust. Always delivering, never neglectful. That's so important in so many of the things we do. If we want to grow a reader base for our blog, for example, we need to show up. We need to build trust. Personally, that's something I've always been terrible at. I've started and deleted so many blogs over the years, and I'm still struggling with doubts. A lot.
