Because of the size of the bookcase I increased the height of the base. Raising it up (about a 1/2") makes it easier to access the bottom shelf.sighDinged this up taking it off the workbench. I'm leaving this as it is for now. no moreI could have planed some more and routed the remaining ding on the chamfer. If I had done that the flat would have been thinner then the chamfer. The both of them are about the same now. oopsGot the base back on and I wasn't paying attention. The top of the back rail should have been flush with the top of the bearer/cleat. Instead I made it flush with the top of the base. I secured the ends into the sides with Miller Dowels.
