[art] doggy drawings

5 minutes locked in an eternal struggle with my fursona’s design. the only way i’ll ever escape this mortal coil is when i create the Perfect Dog to be online so maybe it’s time to go back to our traditions.. make something our deviantart forebears would be proud of i can do it i gave her wings! i have made yet another ref sheet for my fursona, but haven’t shared it yet because i do have a problem with growing disillusioned with my sona design and making a new reference as an annual holiday. i never get to draw them much since i worry about not identifying with it before too long. i think the best way to really see if i’m happy with my sona’s design for (mostly) good is to draw her in various contexts first, to “field test” how she feels in my artstyle; then i'll share the ref once i establish that it feels right to draw and see her the way she is. one of the things i couldn’t help not adding eventually were wings, resulting in the above sketch - i’m never not longing for them. draw…
