The Prestige (movie review) 0 ▲ Kelson Vibber 1 hour ago · Film & TV · hide · 0 comments ★★★★★ I remembered The Prestige was good. I’d forotten just how good a movie it is. By now we’re all used to Christopher Nolan playing with time and narrative structure, and he uses it to great effect here not just for thematic connections, but narrative twists and revelations as the two rival magicians undermine each other on multiple levels. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are both charismatic enough that you want to cheer them on, and cruel enough that you want them both to lose. And even when you know Borden’s secret from the beginning, it’s fascinating to watch the misdirections play out.
