Excellent temperatures all week, low-mid 20s, lovely but not too hot, so it was ideal for… spending more time sat at the computer than I have for weeks. I did write some new code, which is a rare occurrence. Unfortunately I can’t use it on my site yet because it’s in a separate package and, because I use dependency cooldowns, I can’t use that code for a week. (I could probably get round this but I cannot be bothered.) The rest of the computer time was doing things like improving the GitHub Actions-powered Slack notifications for successful/unsuccessful tests and deploys across five repositories, adding the newly-released Django 6.1 to test suites, and updating a couple of projects for now-deprecated methods in django-treebeard. I don’t spend as much time as I used to at the computer and 90% of the limited time I spend working on my websites goes towards this kind of keeping-on-top of infrastructure things.
