Day 177: Cross the River 0 ▲ dpanphoto 7 days ago · Nature · hide · 0 comments 2026-08-02Hello!I went on a sunset photowalk across the Delaware River again, although a different part to the lookout from a few days ago.The weather was a bit spotty, and I wasn't sure if it was going to rain down while I was outside. The storm clouds in the far distance were approaching this way, and there was still the drive home to take up time.I'm bringing too much gear to these photowalks. I have at least two lenses in my bag, which don't add too much weight, but contribute to a slight mental load that adds up. Instead of focusing on a spot and trying to make it work with the lens equipped, I fumble with switching the lens that I think would serve the scene better. This takes up time and breaks my mental flow.Which brings me to the one redeeming factor of smartphone photography: convenience. The photographic tools are all built-in, and there's no switching.
