I chased a very small storm cell to the southwest of Tucson. It was a bit south of Kitt Peak. There’s only one road that goes through that area, Arivaca Road, which is a 35 mile drive from I-19 south of Green Valley to SR 286 north of Sasabe. Other than the small settlement of Arivaca, there isn’t a lot out there. Not much between Amado and SR 286. The storm dissipated quickly but made for a beautiful sunset. It started to pick up steam after dark, but by then it was well into the Tohono O’odham Nation Reservation where there isn’t much in the way of a road network. So I headed back toward Tucson. I was able to get some enjoyable sunset photos, though.
