I’ve mentioned before that I’ve moved to listening to music off USB Thumb Drives through the built in interface in the ‘infotainment unit’ in my ’22 Jeep Wrangler Willys. I purchase (relatively) cheap thumb drives with 8 or 16GB capacity and arrange music into playlists and the like, much like I did back in the days of burning CDs or making mix tapes on cassette. I obtain my music via ripping purchased CDs or purchasing flac files online. For the online purchases I try to make the purchase as “close” to the artist as possible, eliminating large music services that give a scant amount of money to the actual artist. I really like this approach to managing my music and it’s a fun little hobby. I have always enjoyed the music of Anders Enger Jensen, and I have purchased a bunch of his albums. Last night’s storm chasing music of choice was his “Retro Grooves Vol. 3” album. The retro electronic vibe was perfect for my mindset while out in the middle of nowhere in the Sonoran Desert. Shot…
