i should play more sandbox games

maybe i should try to play more sandbox games, but they are so intimidating to me. there is way too much freedom - you are given all the tools you want and you can do whatever you want for the rest of your time. many people seem to delight in it and get incredibly creative ideas, somehow, and even have the patience for hours and hours of working on their projects. i prefer to have clear goals i can work towards, prefer being told what to do and have instructions to follow. otherwise i feel like i am just lost entirely as to what to do. i don't even really get any ideas, much less so ambitious ones. and my adhd certainly doesn't seem to have enough patience to work on something for that long without getting painfully bored. that being said, i've owned MakeRoom for a while and never managed to get to playing it until yesterday. it looks less intimidating, because the previews for it make it look very small and approachable, and deceptively simple. to my relief, they also have a section…
