i set up nixos

Haiii!! it’s been a while (I don’t do that many things,,) I promise not every post will start like this I recently (like 1.5 weeks ago?) decided to install NixOS on my main computer again after breaady (very cool guy btw) showed me its horrors wonders and I wanted to describe my experience with it, considering this is my third attempt and the first one where I didn’t give up immediately (and also to revive this section of my site) The setup I’m currently running a flake (which you can see here) with symlinks for my dotfiles in a private repository, I decided against Home Manager because: I didn’t want to rewrite all my configs into nix It just felt inconvenient Home Manager was also the main reason I gave up on NixOS during my 2 previous attempts To prepare this install, breaady helped me with my struggles (such as setting up overrides for packages such as Vesktop and also supporting emotionally /hj), i’m currently using: Niri (with sodiboo’s flake for it), with an experimental…
