painting collage fodder 0 ▲ mira sturdivant 7 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments oops, left town and forgot to post for about a hundred months. this week, i'm sticking to projects in the 0-10% brainpower range because it's just too damn hot to do anything else. so: i've been replenishing my collage fodder supply. the thing about paper fodder is that it can be as mindless as you need it to be... because even the worst of it will look great once it's cut up into small bits for the right project. i managed to paint up a big portion of my scrap paper stash (misprinted pages, the paint pad i left out in the rain, used envelopes, the ten thousand pages of life insurance advertisements sent by AAA, etc) - and got to just abuse my cheapest paintbrushes to death without giving a heck. a test print of a new carving, mistakes were made, but see what i mean about how the most uninspired trash fodder will look good when you cut it down and put it to use? it just feels good to get something creative done even when you're not feeling very motivated... and you can watch as much… No comments yet.
