How to respond like a human

Kai Brach recently posted this piece on Mastodon, which sparked a thought and a little conversation I’d like to share here. Kai is also the curator of the Dense Discovery newsletter, which I can highly recommend. He even celebrated his 400th issue recently. It’s crazy how time flies. Once again, congratulations! Here’s his post: Kai: Occasionally, I reply to some of the many AI-written pitches I receive to feature someone's app in the newsletter. One person wrote back a few weeks later telling me that not using AI in their emails (or at least not too heavily) has made a big difference in how they successfully engage. Who'd have thought?! Me: 😅 This is so good, but I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, I'm feeling happy, and I think that it's really nice when someone writes something like that back to you. On the other hand, when I hear “we changed how we write to people,” I also hear “we've changed our AI agent, which now writes emails like this, too.” Maybe I'm just too suspicious…
