Postmodern Jukebox - Who Wants to Live Forever (Queen cover)

When I was younger, I was a huge fan of Highlander — both the series (except the last season) and the first movie. There was something alluring about someone living hundreds or thousands of years and what their experience must have been. I think later the movie The Man from Earth tackled the subject better than Highlander ever could, but still, I like it, so of course I like the main themes too for the movie and the series, both from Queen. It's rare to find a good Queen cover overall, and although I don't always enjoy the PMJ's covers, this one is just perfect. It's even noticeable when the singer is focusing on breathing in as soon as possible to keep the song going after it gets into the more intense part of the vocals, and — to me at least — it just enhances the experience of listening to it. I found it beautiful the first time I heard it, when it was released, and still think it's the most perfect version of this song. Anyway, here it is.
