So It's August, Huh?

I posted this in Slack at work on Friday and I'm feeling it today, so you're getting it too. I don't know why I feel compelled to share it with you. I don't know why I felt compelled to share it at work, but I haven't talked about this with a single person who's still working in tech who doesn't also feel it; and I figure there are a lot of people who don't have the privilege I do to be vulnerable at work or in public (I guess that's one of the benefits of having written in public on the internet for 26+ years). So, if this is you, you are definitely not alone. I think everyone who works for a paycheck, who is responsible for supporting themselves or a family with that paycheck, feels it.
