Lately I’ve been focused on reading and enjoying good books. It’s been relaxing and wholesome. That’s partly why I’ve written less for my blog in recent weeks. Reading long-form is a priority. It’s one of my three core habits or practices. The other two are exercising and seeking. They each correspond to the core human areas. These are: Physical - body Mental - mind Spiritual - soul Exercising This is easy to get; of course it’s physical. This means I go outside, screen-free, and get my lungs, heart, and muscles moving. My favorite activities for this are: biking, walking, hiking, and lawn-care (push-mowing grass and trimming weeds). Reading As I said, this simply means enjoying long-form books. It’s a mental or intellectual exercise. I like both fiction and non-fiction. And I’ve been preferring physical/analog/paper books. Yet I’m not totally opposed to an occasional Kindle eBook.
