Introduce Yourself Week

A-ha, I have found the official Blaugust 2026 prompts! This week's topic is "Introduce Yourself," so I'll go ahead and do just that. I'm only covering some of the questions in this post. I'm thinking about doing the others in posts of their own. Tell us ten random facts about the human behind the blog. I already halfway did this in my second Blaugust post, and you can find 38 more facts about me on this page. Tell the story behind the creation and name of your blog. "Syl's Blog" is probably the simplest name I could come up with, but I feel it suits this blog well because it's about as personal of a blog as you can get. Syl is my nickname, mainly online but also a bit in real life. I wanted to use something unique to me that kind of represents my online persona. As for why I created this blog, I just missed the old days of slice-of-life blogging.
