Review: Cutthroat – Invoking Terror 0 ▲ The Killchain 2 hours ago · Gaming · hide · 0 comments Review by Sandre the Giant Released: 19th June 2026 Ireland’s Cutthroat are not one of the many other ones out there on the Metal Archives, not the hardcore band who have also released something new this year, but the new deaththrash one who released a couple of demos in the past few years. But more importantly, they have just released their debut EP ‘Invoking Terror’, and are a band clearly after my money so very badly, considering their sound is firmly planted in the 1987 thrash meets death metal that I have been begging for more bands to explore recently. Well ‘Invoking Terror’ is out now through Dying Victims Productions, and from the ‘Morbid Rites’ videoclip they released, seems perfectly suited to my tastes. The guitar tone that chainsaws its way through opening track ‘March of the Damned’ is something to marvelled at, kicking Cutthroat’s rabid deaththrash assault into full gear.
