On Saturday, August 22, at 2 pm, I’m speaking at the Vigo County History Center about the history of transportation in the United States. It’s a rich topic — from animal traces and Native American trails, to the railroads, to the modern highway network of today. If you’re anywhere near the area I’d love to see you there! The History Center is at 929 Wabash Ave. in Terre Haute. Click here for more information. I believe there’s a $7 charge to enter the History Center but no additional fee for my talk.
