Day 174: Riverside Sunset

2026-07-30Hello!This is (part of) the Delaware River. I walked downstream for an hour and got attacked by many bugs, but the view was worth it.This image was the best out of my collection from that photowalk. It's such a classic landscape photograph, with beautiful sunset colors and the horizon on the lower third.Now, it could always be better: birds flying across the sky would make it even more interesting and show some signs of life. It could also be worse: planes leaving cloudy trails across the sky, or dust on my lens blotting out the otherwise clear sky.I also wish I brought a tripod to do some long exposure shots like I managed in Acadia National Park, but it would have also made my walk cumbersome; I would have gone home before I even made it here!I print about a fifth of all the keeper photos I take, and not all of them are for me.
