Storms are passing to the south of us this evening. I decided not to chase in that direction because it’s a work night and I have to be up at 0500 to get the workday started. Hence, I’m doing some lightning photography from our roof top. Here’s the Santa Ritas getting struck, probably near one of the copper mines. And I enjoyed taking this photo. Even though it’s a shot of cloud to cloud lightning, I like the thunderstorm cell positioned behind our neighbor’s palm tree. It has a nice classic, small cell shape to it. Mother Nature lighting up her own work is pretty awesome.
