Two weeks after saying goodbye, we finally brought Cocoa home today. After Cocoa passed, we chose to have her privately cremated. We bought an urn for her and had a plaque engraved with the words Forever Our Baby Grandma. I also decided to keep a little bit of her ashes in a necklace so I can carry her with me wherever I go. She spent almost 15 years showing me the world through her eyes. Now I can't wait to bring her everywhere and show her all the places she never got the chance to see. I've been feeling incredibly antsy these past two weeks without her here. Having her close again gives me a bit of comfort. It's bittersweet, though. My brain still hasn't fully processed that she's gone, but seeing her in this little box somehow makes it feel a little more real. She's physically no longer here and it's utterly HEARTBREAKING. We also had her paw print and nose print made, and I can't wait to get them framed. I'm also hoping to turn one, or both, into a memorial tattoo someday,…
