537. Valley to Trearddur Bay

July 2014 This walk completes a circuit of Holy Island, which is another island off the coast of Anglesey (though administratively part of it). I was staying at the Blackthorn Farm camp site so only had a short distance to drive to Trearddur bay where I took a bus to Valley to start the walk, on the “main” island of Anglesey. This is a very short journey as this walk is almost a circuit. I had had a better night sleep last night which helped. The name Valley I thought a little puzzling, since it seems to be a village named after a geographical feature (I mean we don’t have towns named “Mountain” or “River” or “Forest”, for example). Despite it’s small size Valley is well served by transport infrastructure with the A55 dual carriageway bypassing it to the south, the A5 going through the centre and even a railway station.
