This is the kind of question everybody gets asked when they're "the one who knows about X". Which DAW should I use to make music? What pen do you suggest? Am I getting the right coffee grinder? I think the final answer should always be "something that you find fun to use". Especially if you're building a new habit or are learning a new skill, you need to enjoy the process. Maybe a 800€ compressor will make you a mixing god one day, but if you can't be bothered to put in the effort to learn because your tools are too much of a pain... there's no way you'll ever reach that level. This counts for both poor equipment and vastly over one's abilities. You can't appreciate a very good guitar, and maybe it's because of its quirks that it's such a great instrument, but if you don't know how to do that and are still learning how to… No comments yet.
