Yesterday I moved my blog to Hugo and, despite my rigorous testing locally and in a staging deployment, I broke my RSS feed in production. Perfect. 🤦‍♂️ The issue was that the Hugo baseURL setting wasn’t being applied properly, so all the post links were pointing at localhost. The scrappy, I’m-in-the-middle-of-dinner fix was to set it manually: hugo --baseURL "https://sals.place" build But today I hope to figure out why the baseURL setting in hugo.toml setting wasn’t taking effect....
