Day 173: Perfect Treehouse Spot

2026-07-29Hello!Similar to that one squirrel photo I took where the light fell on a good spot, this photo has the light of sunset up in the trees.I'm not happy with the exposure settings I used — the details are the technical info, for nerds at the bottom. The shutter speed didn't have to be that fast, and I could have made the image a teensy bit cleaner if I lowered the digital ISO gain.I also thought this image might not work out because I didn't have the right lens. I brought the lens I usually take on photowalks, but I was concerned if the shot would be too zoomed in.I worry too much. It worked out fine.Finally, a song recommendation. It's been a while! I should get back to book recommendations too, but it's always been put off; there's a pile of books on my desk, unopened and unfinished.
