Loops Go Round 0 ▲ Disquiet 4 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments A beautiful simple little tape loop excerpt, running round and round for nearly an hour, courtesy of Petya Lukyanov, aka Peter Lukeson of Denton, Texas. There is a piano and nearby birdsong, heard in combination. Whether or not one’s ear can catch any degradation by the end of it — and there is, certainly, some around the loop’s seam, which becomes more evident over time — what’s at work is a lovely nudge toward attention and reflection. The small Buddha statue doubles as an idler of sorts for the slack of the loop. You can hear more tape loop work in his latest album, Day 8 recompose – tape loop degradation: No comments yet.
