I know it’s just a video game machine from 1996 and obviously isn’t a living thing, but I genuinely feel bad for it and its biggest fans. Y’all deserve better than the crap you have to deal with! Sure, it lives on through people sharing fond memories, its biggest games are considered important (and profitable) enough to get remakes, and it remains relevant through emulation and flash carts keeping it easily playable to those interested, but it also keeps getting its image besmirched by the likes of ModRetro and the companies that sign deals with them.
