ROBIN BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES (KENNER) While I had a handful of reviews from Hasbro’s running on fumes continuation of the Batman Animated tie-in line in the last few months, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve actually reviewed any of the original Kenner run of Batman: The Animated Series figures. For today’s review, I’m actually going way back to the very beginning of said tie-ins, for a look at the first animated variant of Batman’s trusty sidekick, Robin! So, let’s take a look at this early release for the other half of the dynamic duo! THE FIGURE ITSELF Robin was released in the first series of Kenner’s Batman: The Animated Series line in 1992. He joined two Batman variants, Penguin, Riddler, and Two-Face for the line’s debut at retail. At this point, the line was actually sticking to rather faithful costume designs, rather than the wacky variants that followed, so Robin’s wearing Dick’s standard attire from the show.
