I had a good thing going. I was blogging regularly – weekly in fact. My goal was a post every Tuesday. I’d start working on the post end of the week, refine it over the weekend, and push it live Tuesday morning. Each post was about something I was working on or thinking about. They tended to be researched and developed, with something of substance to say. Except it was such a heavyweight and burdensome process, with such high expectations, eventually it all fell apart. Recently, I’ve been thinking I should get going again – but make it more lightweight. Maybe I don’t need to write about a full project or a deeply developed topic. Let’s lower expectations – and lower the burden of publication. Tonight I read about Blaugust 2026 – the idea that people sign up to do a lot of blogging in August. As a participant in the early days of blogging (my first blog started December 2001!), I feel like this project takes me back to my bloggy roots. So here we go. It won’t be a post every day. But…
