If It's Broken Don't Fix It 0 ▲ Writing things down 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments In Japanese video gaming, a kusoge (クソゲー, kusogē; pronounced [kɯ̥soɡeː]), lit. 'shitty game', is an unenjoyable or poorly made video game. Though the label is usually applied disparagingly, there is a subculture of celebrating kusoge. — Wikipedia I love kusoge. Do I play many? No. I've played the legendary Hoshi wo Miru Hito (which I own in its digital, Nintendo Switch version) several times, and curiously I still have to play the good translation. It's an RPG that's broken on so many levels it's just funny. If you can stomach it (or if you just keep cheat codes on), playing it is like being part of a comedy routine. Nothing makes sense. You start at level 0, but you can't see your stats properly because the last digit is cut off from the menu. The first town, Mamus, is invisible, there is no cutscene at the beginning (you can only rely on the manual for that) and you have to guess that a step to the west will bring you there. Anything else is a chance to get stuck in a deadly fight… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
