re: AI use in communities 0 ▲ An Archaeopteryx 1 hour ago · Culture · hide · 0 comments A few months ago a regular on the CachyOS forum asked the community what they thought about increasing AI usage in posts. This is my response. (All typos original to the source & retained for posterity.) As more and more people are using “AI” tools, we get more and more “AI” created, formatted, “straigthened” etc. content here in the forum. Now I for myself am also asking some of my questions to perplexity.ai, simply because some of the answers it provides are not too bad and help me with my newbie-issues. But I see some folks getting really mad about anything that even slightly smells of LLM. So, can we have an open debate on that topic? And maybe even involve the admins? What is your personal stand on “AI”/LLM tools to answer questions around Linux/Cachy topics? Should this kind of “AI”-written texts be allowed here or not?
