According to an announcement from its editors, the journal is “the first open access journal that is devoted to mathematical philosophy.” It is now open to submissions in subject areas such as as formal epistemology, philosophical logic, philosophy of science, decision theory, philosophy of mathematics, formal metaphysics, philosophy of language, formal ethics, and philosophy of AI. Published by LMU Munich, the Journal of Mathematical Philosophy is a “diamond” open-access journal, meaning that there are no author fees nor reader fees. The journal will make use of double-anonymous reviewing. The journal is led by co-editors-in-chief Jürgen Landes and Lennart Ackermans, both of LMU Munich.
