Some random small thoughts provoked by nothing in particular and collected over the last few months. should write a post about my ideal writer cooperative community I bought poetry I'm not that into because I think my city ought to be able to support a poet laureate. We should be capable of that, as a place I'm not sure why the writing group has dwindled again when I think a lot of people are really into writing? And really want community? chapbooks are cool. More people should just print and staple their work and put it out there we need to remember there has always been stuff written to market, tropes, trends, dross, fandom, celebrity authors, cash-ins, adaptations, franchises. None of this is new. It might be different now but it's been around for centuries writing is probably the cheapest creative endeavour and maybe along with drawing the easiest to do on your own, seems to me but also doing writing with other people, for other people, alongside other people, is amazing…
