Doing more often makes things easier, not harder. I love this, even if I often forget about it. Another way to think about it is with wild, but loosely held, expectations. It’s the old adage of if you shoot for the moon, but don’t make it, you’ll still be among the stars. Shifting your expectations can help your brain become more creative about your process. If you want to run a 5k…train like you’re running a marathon. If you want to write everyday…plan for writing 3x per day. If you want to read 40 books a year…carve out time to read 200. Yes, it’s ridiculous. And yes, you have sort of loosely hold the ideas to avoid the “failure” beatdown or optimization mania. But often it’s your process & beliefs holding you back, not…
