“Under by Treaty” by Kayla Stonor [Femdom Book Review] 0 ▲ Miss Pearl 2 hours ago · Writing · hide · 0 comments It’s a terrible pity a book that goes so rough on the male lead (with numerous scenes of torment and bondage!) absolutely fails to be able to imagine a world where the female lead doesn’t need to be humbled and submit. This is a problem in a lot of ostensible femdom romances, creating a big scary female lead and then to show the relationship is going in the direction of sustainable and consensual the symbolic proof of that is her submission to her love interest. Not just bad things happening to her, or an antagonist demanding submission of her as part of the challenge of the story, but often ending on the note that it can’t be a HEA if she still can top. This one goes a step further by requiring not just switching, but depicting all sex as male dominant, setting up a character as if she secretly is just waiting to be mastered, with a complete downer ending. Under by Treaty advertises itself as an alien shifter romance, with a woman with a big glowing whip and a scantily clad man… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
