road trip.......

Made a run out to Gurney's Sawmill this AM. Usually I leave my house around 0700 and I get there about 0745-0750. Today I left closer to 0800 because most of the trip is driving due east right into the rising sun. Most people drive that road at absurdly high speeds which scared me the first I drove out there. Wasn't too bad today and Gurney's didn't have a lot of 1x12 pine to pick and chose.I left there with six 1x12s by fourteen feet, one 1x12 by twelve feet and one 1x12 by ten feet. The plan is to make a couple of bookcases that I'll use for now stowing shop hardware etc etc. After I'm gone the bookcases can go to Miles and Leo. I'll work on making 2 of them while I study the Welsh chair vid I got from LAP.quick drawingAs a rule I don't like fixed shelf bookcases but this time I'm using fixed shelves.
