Backups 0 ▲ Jae's Blog 2 hours ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments When talking about backups, I often get asked how I do them. My historical tooling was Restic then sent to some S3 bucket and rsync.net, but that has changed quite a lot. Nowadays, my stack goes as follows: Borg Backup (via Vorta) Borgbase for remote backups Local network NAS storage Local hard drive And that’s really it. Do note that this is only valid for my workstations, servers are backed up differently, still with Restic, and with different rules. Usually, I have my backups run daily, with pruning and compressing at the end every few weeks. So far, it’s been working good, and luckily, I didn’t have to use the backups, but at least they’re here just in case. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
