A stroll through the incredible history of Greenwich Starting at St. Alfege’s Church we pass through Greenwich Market to the Cutty Sark and then along the riverbank to the old Royal Naval Hospital & Royal Naval College which was built on the site of the Tudor Palace of Placentia. This is now home to the University of Greenwich, LAMDA, and the National Maritime Museum.Ascending Greenwich Park to the Royal Observatory we stand on the line of Zero Longitude / Greenwich Meridian Line and admire the view from the General Wolfe statue that some claim is the best view in London. Walking through the park we see the Queen Elizabeth oak and the site of the Celtic-Roman Temple.
