Welcome to Blaugust

Morning all, and welcome to Blaugust 2026. I’m hoping Blaugust will be a shot in the arm to a blog that is by no means dead but perhaps a little sleepy. As usual, my welcome post will be brief. And... they're off! My reasons for participating are pretty much exactly the same as last year: I enjoy the challenge The community is very friendly Excuse to experiment a bit Builds confidence and momentum in writing This year I plan to mostly follow the prompts with a few extra topics of my own, so I’ll be: reviving the digest format photoblogging another holiday in Wales a bit more “about me”-style posts posting stuff related to hobbies probably not politics this year (but who knows?) As usual, I’ll be aiming for the Silver award of 15 posts, but I might go for the Community Builder award too. I’ve already hit one of the goals with my pre-Blaugust hype post and the others look pretty doable. It’s not too late to join in. You can spin up a Bear Blog in 2 minutes and get posting. The fun…
