Nau maiYesterday we rested in the arid city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Its usually a pretty good rest day if nothing much happens. We were all still heavily jet lagged from our 9hr timezone shift so much of the day was spent relaxing in the hotel. Our day began on the bus, however. We woke up in the hotel carpark and got to enjoy the comforts of the bus lounge while we waited for check in time. I made a breakfast from the bus larder, a refreshing bowl of granola with blueberries, banana, and yoghurt. The Double Tree by Hilton Santa Fe is built in the Pueblo Revival architectural style, a style that is never inappropriate or out of place in New Mexico. Inside is a grand lobby, four stories high, and you can practically still smell the fresh mud and branches used in the construction of the interior balconies.
