Monthly Log: 07.26

I've already talked about most of the books in here in my last post, but here we go. Books 📕 L'uomo che scambiò sua moglie per un cappello (Oliver Sacks): Italian edition of "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat", a series of short stories focusing on people affected by peculiar neurological conditions. I've read another book from Sacks a looong time ago, "Musicophilia", which focused on auditive issues, and my January read of "Neurotribes" mentioned this book and Sacks himself made an appearance! Had it on my list for so long, it was about time I gave it a go. Overall, I liked it. The fact that your reality is shaped by how your brain perceives drives me insane if I think too much about it, and this book really aggravated the situation. There's also an overwhelming sense of loneliness in knowing no one else shares your experience, but all the talk about accommodating people with different needs instead of trying to fix them was comforting.
